Albert R. “Bud” Grimmie Jr. is the father of the late singer Christina Grimmie. He lives in Thousand Oaks with his son, musician Marcus Grimmie, daughter-in-law Summer, and their two dogs, Indy and Navi. He was married for 31 years to his beloved wife, Tina, who passed away from breast cancer in 2018. Bud is also the CEO and co-founder of the Christina Grimmie Foundation, created to offer financial and emotional support to victims of gun violence. Steady Love: What Every Heart Longs For is his first publication.

In the wake of Christina Grimmie's passing on June 10, 2016, the Grimmie family chose to transform their grief into a legacy of hope.
